Computex 2014 - Raijintek

Next up was Raijintek. This is a young company with close ties to CaseKing and OCUK, and we've seen them have success with their CPU and GPU coolers, specifically the Ereboss, Pallas and Morpheus. However, for Computex, Raijintek has a big focus on cases too.

First up is the mini-ITX Metis, the exterior of which is hewn entirely from 1.5mm aluminium. It has a striking minimalist design, and the brushed finish on the aluminium is excellent. As with Deepcool's Steam Castle, the Metis will be available in multiple colours, with gold and Nvidia green set to be added to the red, blue, black and silver models that were on display. There are also plans to sell the front and side panels separately, allowing users to mix and match colours should they choose. Raijintek plans to sell the Metis for just £50, which is excellent given the quality of materials on offer.


We were then shown the Atlas, a steel micro-ATX performance chassis with dimensions that make it large enough to house some very powerful systems. There are five PCI expansion slots and plenty of room beneath the motherboard for multiple HDDs and SSDs. Practically everything inside is removable, including the motherboard tray which will feature thumbscrews in the final version. It will hopefully be available within four weeks with Raijintek targeting £75 as a retail price – pretty good value when you consider it ships with three fans, including a 200mm front intake.


The last case we saw was the Agos. Unlike the other two, this one will be available very soon for just £50. Raijintek is being pretty aggressive with all of its case pricing it seems – this one features full magnetic dust filter coverage and rubber grommets on all of the cable routing holes, which are rare to see at this price point.

After its successes in the air cooling space, Raijintek is another company looking to move into the AIO liquid cooler market. However, its product certainly stands out from the rest, as it's not just a rebrand of an Asetek model like many others on the market. Raijintek is building a mini see-through tank onto the waterblock, and the tubing is likewise transparent. Four colours of coolant will be offered, and unlike other AIO coolers the unit isn't entirely sealed. As such, it acts as something of a bridge between standard AIO units and fully custom water-cooling set-ups, and offers much more in the way of customisation than your average cooler. Given that it's set to retail for just £75, this can only be a good thing, especially as if Raijintek's claims that it offers 10-15 percent better performance than Corsair's H110 are true. Availability is five to seven weeks away – we're keen to get a sample as soon as possible.


We were also privy to some information about Raijintek's plans to expand its product line-up in the more distant future. Sadly, we can't say anything more at the moment, but what was shown to us definitely had us excited, especially as the company's offerings thus far have impressed us – stay tuned!
